a day in the life...

Started out to be ANOTHER crummy day.. 2 in a row? Now that's not fair. It started out with Jack( doing our 'naked hour') peeing inside a box that holds something that I was planning on returning, now someone lucky will get a pee soaked box. Next, he trots over into Tim's closet and lays a fat one. Then we ended our little whirlwind of events for the morning with Jack now in MY closet, slicing his toe open with my sliding closet doors. Blood EVERYWHERE. I also woke up with Aunt Flo staring me in the face. Really? After only 5 weeks? This could explain my MAJOR irritablness and no patience for anything. Also had an unwanted headache all day, topped off with 105 deg. weather.
So the day continued as usual, hitting, crying, screaming, and the perpetual calling of "mom!" all dang day. Then it was time to head to the grocery store to grab something for dinner. Now those stupid carts don't fit the infant car seat in the back and so I had to put it up on the front where the kids go. I hate doing this cause it's so dangerous, they could tump right out.( I usually carry Gav in my Bjorn) So I threw J in the carts with the cars in front for the kids. I swore my boys wouldn't ever go in them cause they are inched thick with scuz. But rules and promises to yourself fly out the window when you are desperate. So we are cruisin along in the store, I am banging into everything cause I can't see past the car seat, and I keep forgetting about the dumb car that's in the front of the cart. Then we get inline to check out... I look down at Jack and he is eating a half of a donut. What the? I thought he found it in his seat, then I look down at his feet and find.... that a little rat had gnawed open a box of donuts. That's right, at some point during our store trip, little sweet Jack so quietly escapes his chains and snags a box of donuts. Without a word, not even an "Oh wow!", he busts into them. I couldn't help be laugh my hiney off and give him another one in the car. What a great ending to a mediocre day.
Jack,
Next time, please open a box of edible donuts, those were the pits! And please not a box that costs $4.50. Thanks, Mom

tip of the week..

Out of shaving cream?

* use shampoo! It leaves your skin so smooth and very easy to shave! I no longer spend $3 on a can of shaving cream. I am all about the short cuts.

something sweet...

Jack knew he isn't allowed to touch it, but that didn't stop him. Gav pooped in his car seat so I had to take it apart and wash it. Well, underneath it is lots of foam for padding. And so sue me, I left Jack unattended for 10 mintues, and he shredded all the foam. I was so so mad. That is dangerous to not have any padding in an infant car seat! We needed a new baby car seat anyway though. This one is great, but we got it used, so it has been through like 4 kids already. That's not safe. So I mentioned it to Tim, how we need a new one, but how I will try to puzzle the foam back together and we should be ok for this baby. But next kid, we need to upgrade. So Timmy was gone all day helping a friend move, and when he came home at 10:30 last night, he was with gift in hand. A new car seat! What a stud, right? I was so impressed that I didn't have to bug him about it or drag him with me to pick one out. He knew that Gavin needed one, and he delivered. I love this guy.

in a nutshell...

I am soo ready to lose the weight! I have this gross 'tire' around my waist and I wish I could just take it off. I try every morning to get up around 5-6 to go running, but then I see Gav and Tim sleeping and my body screams to climb back in bed. And of course I am not a fool, I do. I can't work out at night cause once Jack goes down, Gavin wakes up. Laaaame.
Went to my friend Jessica's Pilates Plus studio yesterday. It was narly. There were these crazy looking machines and all the women were in itty bitty work out clothes. I felt like a monster truck with a spare tire around my tummy. But good news! Jessica took me aside and told me my baby present is 12 weeks, 3x a week, of free membership at her gym. She is going to weigh me and measure ( sucks) every time I come in. We hopefully start Nov!
I have been VERY into fashion lately. I am still dressing the part of a newbie mom though. You know, sweats, hair pulled back, flip flops. But I can't wait to get back into shape so I can go shopping for a whole new wardrobe. I desperately need one! I am so sick of $5 Target shirts and my same gym pants from 2005. I need a new look! Thank you Rachel Zoe, for the inspiration.
Next I wanna give a shout out to my Lord. Thanks God for my milk production. I tear up every time I see myself producing more milk. He is only eating 4 oz now, but my milk is covering it's butt and producing 4 1/2- 5oz! That is so exciting for me to see. It really is. After the first time only being able to make 1 1/2oz. :) So I always have my shirt off, pumping, feeding or just letting them air out. And because of this, Tim and Gavin are both in awe all day. I always get that song in my head, "My milkshake brings all the boys to the yard..."
On more of a bummer note... Gavin has baby acne. IT IS INSANE! Jack had it, but only a little and only on his cheeks. Gav has it on his cheeks, ears, neck, and ALL over the top of his head.. along with cradles cap. It has really scared me this week. He just scratches and cries all the time. I have started putting on some cream, so hopefully that will relieve the itches. I am taking him to the Dr. this week cause he also has come watery poo. I will post a pic of his face so you can see.

I really really am trying to better myself lately. I am trying really hard to get organized with the house, dinner, Jack, personal goals, and our very busy next few months. We have, baby announcements, my birthday, Halloween, Jack's 2nd bday party, Thanksgiving, Christmas pictures, and Christmas. Plus a couple more bdays in between. Holy smokes I am stressed thinking about it! BUT I really am going to try to blog every other day or so. Thats my GOAL.
So keep checking in!! I also want to add a few reassuring topics to my blog. One is 'Tip of the Week' and also something really nice that someone has done for me. So watch out world!

Do you ever walk and daydream? Do you ever walk and eat? I do both! I love to go for walks and snack on candy, peanuts, sunflowers seeds.. etc. Let me say, I love eating. period. But I feel better snacking while I walk! Maybe it helps me to digest it? I dunno.. And what do you daydream about? Money?Love? Family? Future? I will tell you what I dream about. Kicking hiney. That's right. I dream up these scary scenarios that include me and the boys walking and someone coming up from behind me with a knife or gun. I KNOW I wouldn't falter. That man is on the floor in pain if he comes near my kids. I know I would fight with everything I had, unless I truly had to surrender. It makes me feel safer when walking, just knowing what I would do if someone came a huntin!

1st week

1st week with 2 under 21 months has been.....HARD! It takes a very active and creative mind to make everyone happy and to just get through the day. I feel pulled in so many different directions. I don't think I have put deodorant on once this week. I am managing to take a shower everyday... it's just the little things that get the boot. Like breakfast. I have been eating it at around 11am. everyday. Everyone needs my attention. Including the house, dinner, shopping and even myself. I do love having 2 sweet boys though! It is just going to be a tough road to get to that 3rd month or so.Tack on that Jack has had a bad cold all week and looks like Gav is coming down with one too, PLUS Jack learned how to turn doorknobs. Nothing is safe anymore! On a more positive note though..the boys are TO DIE FOR when they are together. It is just the sweetest thing to see J doting on his bro. I have to watch them SO close though.. I have caught Jack sharing his sucker, toothbrush, a recorder, Doritos, and his favorite stuffed animal, Lamby, with Gavin. At least he is trying to share and not hurt right?! Also, I am able to breastfeed this time around! That is so so wonderful! I am thanking the Lord for that! What a special bond I share with Gav during feeding. It's beautiful! I have also had some great friends and family bringing over dinner this past week. A shout out to them! Thank you! You have no idea how helpful that has been!!
That is pretty much it for this week...until next week!
